The Scarab was connected with the Egyptian sun god Khepri who took the form of the beetle and pushed the sun over the horizon every single day.

It has become a symbol of resilience, self-renewal and a reminder that the sun always rises and offers an opportunity for a new start.

Also... If you dig (not very deep) into the mythology, turns out that the scarab was inspired by the dung beetle. You know the one. The one that pushes shit around all day. Reminds me of cancer. If we can push that shit around, we can do anything. 💪

More about Turquoise
In Egypt it was considered a powerful protector. And interestingly, across the world, the Native Americans believed that the cracks in the gem were where the stone took the blow the wearer would have received.

More about Golden Rutile Quartz
Scientists are still not 100% sure how the rutile inclusions are formed, but one theory is that as the quartz cools, it cracks, and other minerals can seep in and form in those cracks. This particular one is a gold colour and is also known as 'The hair of Venus'. Folklore says that rutile quartz relieves fatigue, depression and loneliness.

Whether you believe this or not, there is no doubt that it is absolutely beautiful, and that in itself has great power. But I will leave you with this little factoid...

Scientifically speaking, quartz is piezoelectric, meaning it can transform energy from one form to another, which is why it is used in watches, radios, microprocessors. So maybe magic really is just science that we don’t understand yet…
